some last pictures of UCSD..

the first few pictures were taken when Stella came to visit me n i brought her around taking pictures..

and recently, xinyi (the other xinyi i knew from ucsd) just sent me the photos i took with her when we went round the school on the last day of Spring Quarter! :) i love the grass and the swing on the tree. dinnoe there were so many goodies around UCSD until she told me abt it..

around the school, the 2 xinyis met shifeng and felicia whom we took pictures with too :) my frens from Singapore Malaysian Student Circle!

well.. im kindof in a dun wanna start school in august in NUS mood.. coz i noe i will no longer have those super SLACK days when i was in UCSD.. oh well. reality i must face.

SuNGoD FesTivaL on 18 MaY 2007

last friday was UCSD SUNGOD FEST!

its like a carnival in school...all the food, stalls, smashing pies on people, dunkin' bikini babes..

all down library walk.. they haf air playground slides, sumo wrestling etc.. haa only managed to try the slides! fun! :)

but it was a DAY TO GET DRUNK in UCSD.. everione dun go for classes.. start drinking at like 10am.. for the whole day.. hiding alcohol all OVER them..

one had a small bottle in her bra as zijia saw her taking out from there! GOSH!

drunkards everywhere.. not as if americans when there are sane are not crazy enuf

so just imagine. whole campus with crazy ppl.

who even climbed over fences just to get in SUNGOD without paying the tickets! sigh.

at night was like THIRD EYE BLIND concert.. dinnoe they were that famous.. haha they sang Semi Charmed Life! quite nice :) but i dunno how to appreciate rock music la.. haha

had funnel cake! super nice :) had a great time wif zijia n sas!!! of coz they day was made fantabulous by our 2 movies for the price of 1! hehe

oh but 1 thing damn shocking was that i dinnoe everione ard me that night was smoking marijuana!! :(

din even realise that ir smelt like a different air (suposedly less stinky than cigarettes)

this much happening wun b possible in NUS or Singapore tho..

BUT

im still happy to be in singapore :) i love singapore!

What an eventS-FULL day!

1. couldn't wake up in the morning for my 8am class coz was just too tired
believe it or not. it was the FIRST class i skipped in UCSD.. err... this quarter! :P coz all my lessons this quarter are actually quite un-skippable especially since they are back-to-back no point skipping.

2. had 2 midterms in school+lab! horribly tiring! :(

3. today was UCSD Snow daY! supposedly in celebration for the LAST SNOW in SPrinG! :)
went to look look seee seee. took some pix. quite interesting to see the poser guys stripping their tops to show off their six packs and play with the SNOW ice in the hot afternoon sun.. snowball fights everywhere! :)

4. coz i ate a super early lunch.. so i was all hungry by evening and my gastric came back again :( so painful *sobz* but had to hang on coz i cudn't afford to miss my 5.30pm class.
it got so bad all becoz of the hungry pangs every tues n thurs since sch started.. back to back classes with no time to have a proper lunch.. :( sigh. thats the sacrifice for a 3-day week a science student has to give coz there's no 3day week or even 4day week in a science student's life in university i suppose. ok perhaps maybe chemistry and biology students.

5. came home thinking can finally cook and eat a proper meal to curb the gastric..
THE WATER TAP in the kitchen had NO WATER to cook! :( after fidgeting with it for a while.. OOH LA LA.. WATER FLOODS!!! the pipes leaked. so had to clean up. and there goes my stomach aching like shit. in pain, i ate the overdue bread and drank cold milk coz we havent even cook yet. now im really pitying my stomach. sigh.

first time i experienced water flood in kitchen. din even noe wat to do. gosh.
our house is breaking down.
recently, 2glasses broke.
all the plastic food containers are starting to crack.
the bathtub is choked.
now the kitchen is flooded. woohoo.
wunder wat's gona b up next. i pity my landlord :(


im so tired and drained now. luckily there's a long wkend ahead of me to have a good rest.
oh well. perhaps a day or two before mugging for next wk's test.
hohoho. i duno whether to laff or cry about the modules i took this quarter!!!

UCSD has a Pub in schooL called PORTER'S PUB!

so cooL huh.. selling ALCOHOL on campus leh!!

zijia n i had been wanting to go..

but who knows.. my lab TA jioed us there after the last official lab session

and i had a really interesting RASPBERRY CIDER BEER there! hahaha..

it tasted more like champagne seriously! not beer-ish at all! its damn SWEET! heh

3 more weeks to exams! 3 more weeks to spring break! ive survived till MARCH!

wheee! can't wait to go hawaii.. can't wait to go LA..

and best of all.. i only have ONE official exam in a hall.

i'll have an essay take home, a chem lab oral exam, on the spot psychology MCQ exam

and a JUST ANNOUNCED TAKE HOME CHEM EXAM! how slack!! kaoz! crystal!!! buei ta han! im starting to tink sch's slack here suddenly! hahaha

and i'm like gona have 2.5 day week next quarter! wOOhOooooO!! FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE..

im so stuck wif 5 or even 6 days week in NUS.. science student leh!

this time i packed eveirthign nicely into Tues n Thurs and i have 8am-4pm jampacked 2 days!

and a 5omin lect on Monday! wheeee!

but im the only one with slack timetable.. so no chance to go holidaying also! DARN! the rest of them all busy timetable *sobZ* so sad.. maybe i'll go venture alone! hahaa..

i'm bored doing my homework and labreport so i decided to blog about school!

yes. HOMEWORK.
i feel like a primary school kid. haha. they call assignments HOMEWORK here.

aniwaez, since i havent really talked about my lovely school ever since i came here! hehe
i did an analysis.
i concluded i DETEST quarter system.
coz here, we have 10 weeks of school in a quarter (no mid term break)
and following the 10th week, is the EXAM week! wow.

then it's SPring bReaK..for merely a week...

then another round of 11 weeks of school...

wooohooo! 23 wks of school for 1 semester of NUS!!
great! no time to slack at all.. teach people how to be on the ball..

how exciting is my life.
we have midterms, labs and homework from 1st week of school.
everywhere u see chao muggers!

and exams play a small part (like 30%) so its continuous assessment all the way!

that explains the chaomuggers! hahah
altho i dislike heavy weight exams coz its so scary,
but with continual assessment all the way, i dislike tooo!
so wats the conclusion..?

studying doesn't go with xinyi! hehehe

oh man! dunch u see how i LOVE UCSD so much! wahahaha..
its so exciting for my heart altho im on exchange and everything is S/U..

and it's quite a beautiful school la actually..
all the colleges are within walking distances.. and it just took like 1-2days to know your way ard school!
