A Cowgirl's life...

last weekend was a long weekend with Memorial Day holiday

(well it's always a long wkend for me coz i only have school from Tues-Thurs hehe)

so zijia and i signed up for HORSEBACK RIDING in Baja, Mexico and had an

EXPERIENCE of a LIFETIME :)

i tried SHOOTING a REAL rifle for the FIRST time in my life :) real bullets.. shiok!

with the cowboy hat and chaps!!! ultimate cowgirl combination! hehehe.

not forgetting that i learnt Lasso-ing also! wooohooo! beware! haha

(no la.. actualli i din quite master how to lasso hehe coz too difficult la)

and of coz.. not forgetting the life without ELECTRICITY.. just oil lamps and candles....

1. imagine CANDLELIGHT BATHING..

2. CanDLelight Dinner with candle lit Chandeliers..

3. campfire and survivor style looking ranch...

4.bad septic/sanitary system u throw the used toilet paper not into the toilet bowl but in wastepaper basket like china..

5. no internet/mobile network connection = you're in a world with no contact with anyone except the people at the ranch..

6. it was really desert like.. in the wild... NO existence of other human beings anywhere within a few miles except US at the ranch..

it was learning how to ride a horse from Raul n Caroline

then stepping onto a REAL HORSE (damn funky n cool)

telling it to go, stop, left, right, trot or go faster..

in one line up and down slopes and hills.. sand dust flying all over.. fantastic real WILD feel..

and at the end of the day..

what you get is BLACK DUST in ur NOSE, EARS and BROWN sand covered clothes.. haha

of coz not forgetting the BUTTACHES and SORES.. muscleaches... sunburn.. backaches..

BUT a once in a lifetime experience i must say.. Incredible! a super nice ranch..

with NICE FRIENDLY HOSPITABLE HOSTS!!! :)

ate CACTUS!!!!!!! (above in the picture) gosh. dman gross. i totally din like it but the most of them did. it was like gooey soft brinjal kindof feel but with abit of soury taste. but supposedly DAMN goood for lowering cholesterol and lotsa proteins!

goood sumptous mexican meals.. with interesting drinks like cinnamon rice water.. :) nice!

they brew really GREAT coffee and good enchilidas, tacos, etc etc.. all with NO GAS STOVE but i think they use COAL... my gooodnesss.

it's a real good break from URBAN life.. but i tink i can never live there. haha. too isolated.

the ranch is really incredible.. never thought i would be able to experience sucha life.. at the ranch with the horses and dogs running along with us when we go on trails..

if you have a chance, go horseback riding tooo! it's a WOW WILD WEST kindof experience! hehe
